About the PTA

Mission

The mission of the BMES PTA is to achieve educational excellence by encouraging parental involvement, building strong teacher-parent relationships, enabling academic enrichment programs, and providing academic, fun, and family-oriented activities which promote learning and strengthen our community.

Who we are

The Bells Mill PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to making a difference in the education and quality of life for our children. In order to help our children and our teachers, the Bells Mill PTA sponsors programs in the areas of academic improvement, administration, educational enhancement, facilities, school events, staff appreciation and student affairs. We would not be able to accomplish our mission without financial and volunteer support from our families and local businesses.

What we do

Each year the PTA provides resources and opportunities to support academic improvement, cultural arts, school events and teacher appreciation. These include:

  • Invests in academic improvement at Bells Mill
    • Provides classroom materials for teachers
    • Pays for teacher training and school resources
  • Supports cultural arts
    • Sponsors the Reflections Arts Program
    • Provides assemblies during the school day
  • Improves student experiences
    • Buys recess equipment and student planners
    • Supports student activities in school
  • Holds events for the school community
    • Back to School Picnic, Breakfast with Bears, Bingo Night, Magic and Muffins, Talent Show, STEM Night/Science Fair, International Festival, GeoBowl, Bells Mill Bash, and more!
  • Provides staff appreciation events
  • Advocates for Bells Mill and its students
