Be sure to ask your child what he/she learned about homelessness today!

Students will be participating in an educational presentation about homelessness during their lunches Thursday, October 10th, to understand why we host a Walk for the Homeless. Our walk will take place at school, Thursday, October 17th at 2:30 pm.

On Thursday, October 17th at 2:30pm, Bells Mill ES will continue  our tradition of participating in a Help the Homeless Community Walk.  We hope you will join our Community Walk or make a tax-deductible donation. 100% of all online registrations and donations will go directly to Stepping Stones Shelter, located in Rockville, MD

Stepping Stones provides support to homeless families with children in order to move them from crisis to a stable home environment by providing temporary shelter and services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.

In 2011, Stepping Stones served as the home of last resort for 33 families, including more than 110 individuals, nearly half of whom were children age 4 and under. Most families (42%) were young single mothers (aged 18-25) with very young children.

You can make a difference in the lives of homeless families and children by joining our team or making a donation.  We appreciate your support for the homeless in our community!
