Dear incoming 6th grade CJMS parents –
We are looking for interested parents to serve on the CJMS executive board this next school year. This is group of parents who are interested in being “in the know” at the school and helping to oversee fundraising/donations, planning events, spending funds on the needs of staff and students, etc. We are currently looking for a secretary, and also 2 VP’s and president. We have a lot of the committees already set for next school year with experienced chair people. The current board members and president are prepared to help and guide all new board members. If you have been involved with your ES PTA or executive board this role should be easy for you! The demands at the MS level are much less then ES.
CJMS has a large community of concerned and involved parents and we need parents to step up and help. We can’t let our PTSA dissolve bc we don’t have a board. We will lose important funding and activities for the kids and staff. We need to get a board together by the end of April so that we can vote them in at our May 10th meeting.

If a board position is not right for you also take a look at available chair positions for next school year. We have some needs here as well and this is great time to commit so that you can communicate with the current chairperson to “learn” the job for next year.
