PTA Hosts Community-Wide Evening with Martin Luther King III — TONIGHT

The Bells Mill Elementary School PTA is excited to announce a community-wide event featuring human rights and peace advocate Martin Luther King, III, son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Thursday March 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cabin John Middle School all purpose room. There will be other local dignitaries in attendance and the CJMS orchestra will perform. Please feel free to spread the word to neighbors.

Two BMES Students Win at State Level for Arts Relfection Program

Dear Bells Mill Elementary School,

It is with tremendous pride that I proudly report that the results of the Maryland State Reflections competition have been released. Whether or not you are on this list of state winners, to make it to this level of competition is an accomplishment in itself. Congratulations to all of you. We certainly hope that you will enter the Reflections Program again next year and share your art with us!

The awards for the State level are as follows:

Outstanding Interpretation of Theme: Certificate, Trophy, 3 Complimentary tickets to the MD PTA Reflections Awards Celebration at our State Convention in July and $75


Award of Excellence: Certificate, Ribbon and $50


Award of Merit:  Certificate and $25


 

As a reminder, only those students who placed with “Outstanding Interpretation of Theme” move on to the National Competition.

Winter Weather Policy

When MCPS cancels after school activities, it is mandatory that enrichment classes are also cancelled. It is the enrichment provider’s responsibility to notify the parents of this cancellation as soon as possible. Club Bells Mill — THIS SAT– Magic Show

CLOWNING AROUND; MAGICALLY!  

It must be time for another kids’ night out at Club Bells Mill!  
 
This Saturday, March 14th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm is the FINAL Club Bells Mill of the school year!!!
Drop your kids off for 2 hours of fun with their friends!  Not only will there be a DJ, moon bounce, crafts, and gym games, this event also features a magician’s show and balloon twisting!  

$10. per child at the door for our non-members 🙂
Pizza, water and treats are always available for a small cost ($2 slice/$1 water bottle/treat prices varied)!
