Thank to Greer Bautz, Joy Gerber, Julie Herman and Jeanine Resnick for yet another amazing Scholastic book fair! The school earned about $7,600 profit/books. Parents donated more than 200 books to fulfill teacher “wish lists!” The majority of the profit goes to the media center so that the entire school benefits, and the teachers will each get some of the credit to use as well.  The PTA donated about $350 in books to the students in need.… Read Full Post

Box Tops Due Oct. 31!

Keep clipping Box Tops and sending them to school before the Fall submission deadline, Oct. 31 (no school on Nov. 1!) so that they can be mailed in to get cash for our school. There is a large collection box in the front hallway when you walk through the entrance doors.  You can drop them in this designated box or send them with your child to school. We have had many devout Box Top collectors throughout the years.… Read Full Post

Volunteer Now: Scholastic Book Fair is Next Week!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Bells Mill on October 14! This popular and fun PTA-sponsored event is NOT a fundraiser — all proceeds from book sales go directly back to the teachers and media center at Bells Mill. (Those readers your kids bring home from reading group or the game that teaches time in math centers? They may have been bought from previous Book Fair earnings!)

Annual BMES Walk for the Homeless

Be sure to ask your child what he/she learned about homelessness today!

Students will be participating in an educational presentation about homelessness during their lunches Thursday, October 10th, to understand why we host a Walk for the Homeless. Our walk will take place at school, Thursday, October 17th at 2:30 pm.

TODAY: Help us Celebrate Meeting our Fundraising Goal with Orange Leaf Fro Yo!
