Throughout the year, the PTA hosts Community Events where families can get together and have a blast. We’ll see you there whether you can serve as a volunteer or just come to play.
Volunteer
Assistance from parent and grandparent volunteers is a welcomed and valuable resource at our school. Bells Mill relies on parents to support paid staff personnel. Volunteers are needed in classrooms, the Media Center, recess and cafeteria; please see your childʼs teacher or inquire in the office if you are interested in volunteering.

MCPS values the volunteers who work in our schools to enrich our students’ experiences. As a community, we all are mindful of our shared responsibility to create safe, nurturing environments for our students. The district has developed training for all volunteers to learn about recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. This online training will take about 30 minutes to complete. In addition to the online training, volunteers also have the option to participate in an in-person training session. The sessions will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at locations across the county.
