- In the next few weeks the yearbook committee will begin collecting information for the 2012-2013 Bells Mill yearbook. PLEASE CALL THE SCHOOL IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD’S PHOTO INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK.
- Please be courteous to our neighbors at Georgetown Hill. They ask that you do not leave your cars in their parking lot/driveway. Their parking lot and driveway are for the use of their own parents and staff. Please park your cars on the street.
- Stock up on wrapping paper, gourmet chocolates, magazines and other wonderful Innisbrook products and benefit the PTA. The sale runs until September 24. The PTA gets 40 – 50% back! Check backpacks for Innisbrook information packets. Students who sell $50 worth of products will be entered into a drawing for an iTouch. Students who sell $100 worth of products will be entered into a drawing for an Xbox 360. Please collect funds when you take the order and return all money to school in the Innisbrook envelope by September 28, 2012.
- Attention Head Start parents, you are invited to a parent orientation meeting on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Bells Mill all purpose room. Learn about the program and meet the Head Start team. Questions, call Amabilia Reyes at 301-230-0676.
- There will be an informational meeting for parents and students (K-5) who are interested in participating in the Bells Mill Odyssey of the Mind Program. The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 20, 7:00-8:00 pm, in the APR. This meeting is mandatory for parents and participants. Previous participants and their parents should plan to attend.
- Register now for Montgomery College Kids’ College which offers a variety of enrichment courses for students in grades 4-12. Courses are offered after school and on Saturdays on the Rockville and Germantown Campuses. For a list of classes and registration information visit the website at www.montgomerycollege.edu/youth , or call 240-567-7917.
- MCPS parents can receive emergency information from the school system in a variety of ways including MCPS QuickNotes, Alert MCPS, Twitter, the MCPS website, MCPS TV, and a recorded telephone information line. Please visit www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/emergency for more information on how to keep in touch with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and stay informed in times of emergencies.
- MCPS Parent Academy workshops give parents tips and tools to help their children be successful in school. All workshops are FREE and held at schools and locations throughout the county. Child care and interpretation services are provided. Look for information brochures in backpacks or visit www.mcpsparentacademy.org .
