- Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kemp on the birth of their daughter, Laney Patricia. Laney was born on March 18 and weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. Good luck to the Kemp Family.
- Congratulations to the Bells Mill Odyssey of the Mind teams. They performed extremely well at the annual Maryland State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament. Bells Mill teams earned two third-place finishes, one second-place finish, and two first-place finishes among the five long-term problems, and second-place in a separate competition for spontaneous problems. Bells Mill had the most teams participating in Maryland. We are very proud that our students showed great sportsmanship in representing our school. Some of our teams will move on to the World Finals in Iowa.
- Welcome to Judith Teitlebaum, a new para-educator who will join our staff in a few days. Ms. Teitlebaum will support classroom instruction and provide lunch/recess supervision.
- It’s time to order 2013-2014 yearbooks! Parents may log on to ybpay.lifetouch.com and enter your job # 11371914 to order a yearbook through a secure site exclusive to BMES. The cost is $24. Yearbooks are a wonderful way to remember this fantastic school year! Supplies are limited. So please order soon.
- A representative from the office of the State’s Attorney for Montgomery County will speak on internet safety and cyberbullying, Tuesday, March 25 at 7:00 pm, at Seven Locks Elementary School. All Churchill Cluster parents are invited to attend.
- Thank you to Joshua Correa and Family for the donation of Starbucks coffee pods for the staff lounge. We really appreciate your kindness and consideration.
- Congratulations to all the participants in the Bells Mill Talent Shows. We had standing room on both evenings, and everyone agrees that Bells Mill certainly has talent. Thank you to LaTisha Gasaway and Minds In Motion for again coordinating this very popular event.
- Spring break is Monday, April 14, through Monday, April 21. If your spring travel plans require your student to be absent from school please remember to notify the office via phone or email.
