A great big PTA thank you to Stacey and Sean Twombly for organizing another awesome skate night! And thanks to all the families who came out. We had a great crowd.

This week we have: Parent resource meeting (at school, 7 p.m.) a county-wide Science Curriculum meeting, and Club Bells Mill on Saturday night (volunteer link in bear post)

Please consider volunteering for the annual PTA-Sponsored Staff Holiday Lunch (link in bear post).

Our next PTA meeting will be Tuesday, January 7 and Ms. Hall-Bell and Mrs. Kanter will present on social/emotional development (this is always a very popular talk!)

 

MCCPTA Science Curriculum Night

There is so much information – and misinformation – about the “new” curriculum…come hear for yourself, from the experts!!
Thursday, December 12th 7:30-9:15 pm in the cafeteria at Richard Montgomery High School

MCPS Supervisor of Science, Technology and Engineering (STE), together with teachers and school based administrators, will present what’s new, what’s different and what’s exciting!

Come and experience it for yourself.  There will be breakout sessions for Elementary, Middle and High School – so that you can see the new curriculum in action, at your child’s level, and get a preview of what lies ahead.

There will also be a panel discussion to wrap up the evening that will cover:  resources available to help parents learn more about what is taught at the various levels and how differentiation works in the STE classroom – – and will answer your questions (time permitting). 

We will start promptly at 7:30pm – so that we can end on time, too.
