Winter 2013 Enrichment Classes Have Started or Start Soon!

If your child would like to take an after-school enrichment class but you are balking at the price, please download a flyer for enrichment scholarships and return to Mrs. Kanter by Wednesday, Jan. 23. Offering Highlights:
- Guitar and Violin group classes on Tuesday and Friday after school, from the highly trained teachers of Bach to Rock. If your child is always singing around the house or playing air guitar, channel that love of music with some fun instruction!
- Science and Engineering classes to help your child develop the critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and creativity skills needed to become innovators for life. On Tuesdays, grades 2-4 will build miniature greenhouses and life-size tipis to apply geometry and measurement concepts. On Thursdays, grades K-3 will learn about kitchen chemistry and safely experiment with mixtures, solutions, acids, and bases, see color changes and make glue from milk.
- Hip Hop dance classes on Thursdays will keep your kids active during those cold winter months. Students will work together on interactive routines while sharpening their own skills.
- FLES Spring registration is now open for the following classes: Wednesday, 8:00-9:00am Beginner French and Wednesday, 3:30-4:30pm Beginner Spanish. Those who registered in the fall for only 12 weeks are obliged to re-register and pay for the new session. One can pay on-line at www.biglearning.org. The beginner French beginner class second session begins Wednesday, Jan. 23rd and the Beginner Spanish second session begins, Wednesday, Jan. 23rd.
