Bells Mill Read-A-Thon: 108,000 Minutes and Counting!

Wow, Bells Mill! As we begin our second week of the Read-A-Thon, our community has already logged an incredible 108,000 minutes of reading and raised $18,000 toward our goal!

What an amazing start! Let’s keep the momentum going and see if we can surpass our school-wide reading and fundraising goals together.

Assembly on March 9 – Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

The Bells Mill PTA has arranged an assembly presentation for Monday, March 9, with Story Tapestries, to recognize Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.

Storytelling & Performance – Disability Through Story

This program is led by Arianna Ross (CEO of Story Tapestries) and Jessica Wallach. The experience uses storytelling, movement, and embodied performance to explore disability, difference, and belonging through narrative rather than lecture.

Bells Mill Science Fair & STEM Night – March 22

The Bells Mill Science Fair & STEM Night is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 from 4:30-6 pm. We encourage any interested student to participate in the Science Fair by completing a project and showcasing it that night. Register your science fair project today!

We also need help running exciting and interesting STEM experiments throughout the night. Volunteer to run an experiment station.

3 Volunteers Needed for the PTA Nominating Committee

The PTA needs your help! We are looking for 3 volunteers who are current PTA members to serve on the nominating committee to elect next year’s PTA Board. The nominating committee formally nominates eligible persons for open PTA board positions and reports the nominees to the membership before the election at the general membership meeting in May.

NAACP Parents Council Representative – Volunteer Opportunity

The Bells Mill Elementary School PTA is seeking a parent volunteer to serve as our representative to the NAACP Parents’ Council. The NAACP Parents’ Council works to support equity, access, and excellence for all students across Montgomery County Public Schools. The representative attends monthly evening meetings (typically virtual), shares relevant updates with our community, and brings questions or concerns from Bells Mill families to the broader council. Shrek the Musical, Jr. at Cabin John MS

Cabin John Middle School proudly presents Shrek the Musical JR. on March 5th and 6th at 7 PM and March 7th at 5 PM in the Cabin John Middle School cafeteria!
