We are thrilled to already have 180 family PTA members! Thank you to everyone who has already joined this year. We would like to reach our goal of 250 memberships by the end of October! Please see this flyer about our fall Membership Drive for special incentives to join the PTA by October 31.
Each week in the Bear Post we will share information from other schools in the cluster or community events that provide opportunities to connect and help each other. Please join us on the blacktop for light breakfast refreshments (donuts, juice, and coffee) before school on October 14 from 8:30am – 9:05am (rain date: October 15). Each Bells Mill Bear can bring one special person to share the morning with.
To ensure we have enough refreshments, please RSVP by Friday October 11 via the SignupGenius Link.
Bells Mill will be hosting its first Trunk or Treat on October 20 from 4:30pm-6:00pm. Please register using the Signup Genius Link to host a car.
Candy will be provided by the PTA, and pizza is be available for pre-order to support the 5th Grade End of Year Celebrations – link to pre-order pizza. Please review the attached flyer for more information. Costumes are encouraged!
Enjoy some delicious pizza at Colony Grill in Cabin John Village during the week of October 21-27, and help support the Bells Mill PTA! Mention BMES when dining for a chance to win a Colony Grill gift card for dinner for 10! The restaurant week continues through the weekend; this flyer has more information.
The Black and Brown Coalition for Educational Equity and Excellence (BBC) is excited to invite you to an important Townhall. This event will feature special guest, MCPS Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor, who will discuss key issues affecting our community and schools.

Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15). Today, students participated in a special Cultural Arts Assembly to honor this important month. We’re inviting Hispanic and/or Latino families to create posters that showcase the diverse countries and cultures we’re celebrating. Ms. Pilar Busto, one of our parents, is helping coordinate these family posters for our school.
