Breakfast with Bears — Tuesday May 12

Come join us on the blacktop for light breakfast refreshments — donuts, juice, and coffee — before school on Tuesday, May 12, from 8:30 to 9:05 a.m. Rain date: Wednesday, May 13.

Around the World with Jewish Music

May is Jewish Heritage Month and, as part of the celebration, on May 22, the Bells Mill PTA will host a special edition of Concert à la carte titled, “Around the World with Jewish Music.” This isn’t just a performance — it’s a joyful, fully interactive experience designed specifically for school-age children. The Bells Mill Bash is Back!

Celebrate the end of the school year with your classmates and school community at the ever-popular Bells Mill Bash on June 4 from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Enjoy bounce houses, games, a DJ, and time to picnic with friends over pizza, ice cream, and concessions.

Share Your Feedback on MCPS Calendar Planning Priorities

At the last Delegates Assembly, the Education Committee chairs proposed that MCCPTA take a formal position on what MCPS should prioritize when developing the school calendar, as this is a recurring issue for families, schools and staff. In addition, both MCPS and MCEA have identified as a legislative priority removing the requirement that school systems meet both a minimum number of instructional hours and a minimum number of school days.

Final PTA Meeting of the Year is Tomorrow! Tuesday May 5

Join us for the final BMES PTA meeting of the school year on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30pm in the APR. Parents will vote on the 2026–2027 PTA Board and budget and hear updates from BMES administration and the PTA. Snacks will be provided!
