Still Need More Tennis Balls!

We are in need of lots of tennis balls to cut and place on student chairs!  If you have some to donate, please drop them off at the main office.

If anyone is a part of a tennis club or country club, would you be able to check with them?  As they rotate their inventory, many times they are left with an abundance of old tennis balls in need of a home!

Social Media Presentation

The Hoover MS PTA would love to invite all the Churchill cluster parents to Hoover to hear internationally recognized speaker on social media Dr. Sameer Hinduja on September 24th at 7:00 PM.

The schools have been telling us for several years that one of the MAJOR problems they deal with every single day is disruption to a student’s day caused by fallout from social media/phone/tech use and misuse that happens in and out of school. For tonight – the agenda is as follow:

6:00 – All families in the APR for an Introduction to Benchmark Reading System – APR
6:30 – Classroom presentations will begin
7:15 – transition to next session
7:20 – Classroom presentation will be repeated
8:00 – Evening ends

Back to School Night: Grades 3-5 Thursday 9/12

Back to School Night for Grades 3-5 will be held on Thursday evening from 5:45pm – 8:00 pm.

The schedule is as follows:

5:45 pm – Ms. Parenti will meet with grade 4 and 5 parents about the Instrumental Music Program in the APR
6:10 pm – Mrs. Abramson and Mrs. O will present an overview of the new Benchmark Reading System to grade 3,4 and 5 parents in APR
6:30 pm – Classroom presentations will begin
7:15 pm – Transition to next session
7:20 pm – Classroom presentations will be repeated

WCHS Field Hockey needs Ball Girls

The WCHS field hockey team is looking for ball girls for our home varsity field hockey games this season. If your daughter is available/interested in being a ball girl for us this season, please let me know which date(s). We’ll also be looking for ball girls for any home playoff games we may have in the postseason (TBD).

Our regular season home games this season are:

9/12 – 5:15 game time
9/16 – 5:15 game time
9/23 – 5:15 game time
10/01 – 5:15 game time
10/07 – 4:00 game time
10/11 – 5:15 game time

Ball girls should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the game and come straight over to the player bench area across the field to check in with Coach Cay, Coach Shelby, Coach Margaret or Coach Candy.… Read Full Post
