Churchill Cluster BOE Mtg.

Please see below for copy from an email regarding the upcoming Churchill Cluster BOE meeting:
This email is to remind all of the schools to please HOLD THE DATE  for our next big meeting which is actually the Board of Education Meeting for our cluster.
At the last meeting we all decided that the host location for this Churchill Cluster / BOE meeting on March 16, 2017 (TH night) would be Potomac Elementary School.  Thank you to the other schools that also offered their locations.  We felt that as a cluster the PES capital construction issues and opportunities could be best highlighted by hosting it at the school as that is an ongoing open item for our collective Cluster.
The BOE meeting will run from 7-9pm formally with an informal pre-event casual “dinner” beginning at 6:30-7pm in the media center for all of you, our cluster teams and the BOE.
Dr Allie and her PTA team have agreed to open the school to all of our respective schools, parents and local communities for this BOE meeting, which we anticipate will be a combination of formats to make the most of this once every several years opportunity to interact and advocate directly on behalf of our cluster with the BOE officers.
The smaller BOE / Cluster dinner (Principals and PTA Presidents, MCCPTA representatives) is intended to allow more quality time for us to engage the BOE officers before opening up to the entire community event / forum.  I’ve already notified the BOE office that we will start our meeting with this dinner.
Action Items for the BOE Mtg:
* Hold the date and plan to attend
* Help us begin to spread the word.  Send out “Hold the Date” notices to your schools, communities via your list serves.
* A formal event agenda and format will be decided in the next two weeks once our BOE planning subcommittee meets (currently: Dr Catherine, Joan, Stacey, Aman, Kaushika, Neal and Adam) – if you’d like to participate in planning please email me if I’ve missed including you if you are interested in organizing and planning the details.
