New recess equipment for next year

The PTA is excited to purchase two funnel ball hoops for Bells Mill for outdoor recess. They will installed for next school year. Thank you to Mrs. Kemp and Mr. Tom for helping navigate MCPS requirements and Mrs. Over for helping with the ordering. We’re excited for our students to have additional infrastructure during recess!

Assembly to celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month

On Friday, May 26 the PTA will sponsor an assembly for all students (during the school day) to mark Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The Chua Lion Dance Team will provide an instrumental performance and tell the Lion Story and discuss its cultural significance. They will also “awaken” the lion in a special ceremony and perform the lion dance, including feeding the lion.

Parent Volunteers Needed for Field Day

Mr. Tom asked us to share this information about field day and the opportunities for parents to get involved! Such a fun day for the school!

Field Day for Head Start/Autism and K- 2nd grade will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Grades 3-5 will have Field Day on Friday, June 2, 2023.
