Spirit Wear orders have shipped directly from the vendor! We look forward to seeing your Bells Mill gear or school colors every Friday! The items were really popular! The PTA was happy to help 22 students to receive spirit wear this year, coordinated through the school to ensure privacy.

We would love as many volunteers as possible to help us continue our Bells Mill traditions with a virtual twist. Join us on zoom for our next PTA meeting at 6:30-7:30pm! Learn more about what the PTA has been doing and bring suggestions for what we can do together. Our speaker will be school counselor Sarah Kanter. principal Dr. Smith and director Dr. Peter Moran will be available to answer questions and take comments. School families are invited to the next coffee with Dr. Smith on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The PTA recently installed a sharing library outside the Scotland Community Recreation Center. Feel free to take a book or leave a book! A library will be installed at Bells Mill soon too. The cost of materials came for PTA and they were built by Ben and Nora Fleischer’s grandfather. Special thanks to the Kanz family for donating a bunch of books to get us started!

On November 28, Bells Mill held its first online chess tournament. 17 contestants played for 1 1/2 hours! Congratulations to all the participants! Everyone competed hard and showed the best sportsmanship! So proud of everyone who participated! The top 5 rankings are below:

·       1^st place- Dennis Feketekuty (K) (12 wins, 0 lost)
·       2^nd place- Sam Nielson (2nd grade) (10 wins, 2 losses)
·       3^rd place- Luke Feketekuty (2nd grade) (8 wins, 2 losses)
·       4^th place- Noah Schraeder (5th grade) (4 wins, 5 losses)
·       5^th place- Lyla Acadia (5th grade) (3 wins, 1 lost, 1 draw)
