Bells Mill Elementary School PTA

The BMES PTA is sponsoring an assembly event for grades K-2 students on May 30th at the school gym during school hours. The Cosmic Adventures Traveling Planetarium is presenting the programs “StellarLunar” and “Voyage to the Moon” programs, focusing on Earth’s nearest neighbor in space. The students will explore stars, a few constellations, and the phases of the Moon inside a computerized planetarium.

You and your Grade 4 student are invited to a preview about middle school options in the Middle School Magnet Consortium. These schools include Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland middle schools. This meeting will only discuss these three schools mentioned.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at Albert Einstein High School at 11135 Newport Mill Road in Kensington from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The annual Bells Mill International Festival is TONIGHT! Doors will open at 7PM. Grab a boarding pass and passport at the door, visit country hosts from around the world, enjoy cultural performances, snap a picture at our photo booth, and sample international foods. As a part of Bells Mill ES’s 50th Anniversary Celebration the Student Council is sponsoring Spirit Week. Students should come dressed in the spirit of the decade.

The next general PTA meeting will be on May 7th at 6:30pm in the Media Center. All parents and staff are encouraged to attend! We will be voting on the 2019-2020 budget (including the new fundraising structure) and incoming board members. We must have a quorum of at least 15 people for a vote so please come!! Come on out to celebrate black history on Friday May 3rd from 7pm-9pm in the APR. The evening will feature poetry, song, dance and more.  There is no cost to attend this event!
