Science Fair is almost here!

The 2018 BMES Science Fair is scheduled for Friday, April 13th.  We are still accepting additional participants and could use a few more volunteers!

Please see the Power Point that was presented at the latest PTA meeting to help guide returning and new students on the Science Fair process and how to enter their submissions into the Science Fair.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to foster their curiosity and creativity independently or with friends.… Read Full Post

Congrats to BMES Odyssey of the Mind teams!

Bells Mill students on eight teams competed at the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament on Sunday, March 18. Our school remains the largest Odyssey organization in the state! Of our five Division 1 teams, two received first place trophies and one received second place trophy to add to Mrs. O’s growing collection. These teams are all eligible to compete at the World Finals in May, representing Bells Mill and Maryland. Congratulations go to all 57 participants in Odyssey of the Mind: having so many performing was quite an achievement for Bells Mill, and every one of them should be proud of their accomplishment, their sportsmanship, and for representing our school well.

MCPS Emergency Communication

Be sure to download the myMCPS app on your phone to ensure that you are
receiving push notifications. This is particularly important in emergency
situations. The MCPS robocall system can take 10 minutes to deliver calls to all
families, so there can be a delay in transmitting information. The new
system allows for push messages through the app and text messages.
Unfortunately, these two options have not been fully adopted by all
families.

Click here for information as to how you can ensure that you are connected
to the MCPS emergency information system.
