Black Rocket program MC will offer on Saturday, December 2 from 8:30-3:30 pm at the Rockville campus.

The Black Rocket programs offered through Montgomery College provide unique enrichment and educational offerings to children and young adults in Creative Sciences, Digital Arts, and Leadership. Each course emphasizes self-empowerment, cognitive reasoning, and divergent thinking through hands-on learning. The program on December 2nd is designed for students in grades 4 – 7 and costs $95 per student. Come join us for our PTA meeting TONIGHT!  There will be a discussion about Computers in the Classrooms then a Demo and Q&A on Chromebooks before the general meeting.

Tonight’s PTA meeting with be from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Media Center:  Computers in the Classrooms, hands on demo and Q&A on Chromebooks.  Mr. Hirsch  (4th grade teacher) will demonstrate how the Chrome Books are used in the classrooms at different grade levels. Please join a stimulating discussion that will touch on variety of topics: How the Chromebooks applications enhance the student learning experience, how the Google Classrooms are used to manage the students assignments,  how the new MCPS portal system enhances the parent teacher communication, and guidelines for managing  the children’s screen time!… Read Full Post

The PTA is still in search of a few good volunteers (mostly as backup volunteers or small commitment committees) Please reach out to the PTA if you can help provide some assistance on the photography or copy committee or any other open slots.  This PTA works best with small contributions by many people!

Donuts with Dad will be held on Friday, November 17th 8:30-9am. This is a fun event for all BMES students and their fathers. Please see the Donuts with Dad flyer attached for information.  Please do not park in the bus loop!!

*This is not a drop off event and all children must be supervised by their parent.*

Join Churchill HS students for this 5K run and Fall Festival this Saturday, Nov 18.  The 5K starts at 9 am and the festival will begin at 10 am.  Come meet at the CHS track for a fun day with live music, games, photo booth, snacks and more!  Sign up on the WCHS website or at the door.  See the  Churchill HS Fall Festival 5K flyer for more information.

This Friday is the first event in a monthly series at Churchill HS that is open to all BMES students.  Kiddie Club Night will offer crafts, movies, games and more for elementary aged kids between 6-9pm.  $15/child – all proceeds will support the DECA club at Churchill HS.  Check out the Flyer for more info and sign up here:
