Bells Mill Elementary School PTA is holding a Read-a-thon this year! Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-a-thon starts Monday February 26, 2024. We’ve chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills, and is a great fundraiser for the PTA!
Reading Spirit Week and Vocabulary Parade We will be celebrating our love for reading and Read Across America Day (March 2nd) by having a spirit week February 26th – March 1st. Click here to see a flyer with the theme for each day. The week will end with our second annual Vocabulary Parade! The parade route will be similar to the Fall Festival Parade. Have your child dress up as a vocabulary word to show the meaning. It is important that your child holds a sign or wears a sign with the word and the meaning of the word. Your child should come to school dressed up for the parade. We hope to see you there!
