PTA MEETING (TONIGHT!)
Tonight is the 1st PTA meeting of the school year. It is an appetizer social in the APR and then a brief business meeting. Please bring an appetizer to share; and if you can only bring yourself, that’s okay too! The event will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and BAR-T is providing FREE childcare for Bells Mill aged students.
Also, if you are a room parent, remember this is a *mandatory* room parent meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the media center to review all the procedures for the year.
WALK TO SCHOOL DAY (TOMORROW/WEDNESDAY!)
Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 8, Bells Mill will participate in the county-wide Walk to School Day. This event is part of Safe Routes to School, a program to create safer walking and biking routes so parents are comfortable allowing their children to walk and bike to school. To ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in this event, we are asking parents who normally drive their child to school to have them walk to Cabin John MS on October 8. Bus riders will be dropped off at Cabin John. Bells Mill teachers and patrols will be onsite to escort students as we walk to school together. If you must drive your child to school on that day, please drop your child off at Cabin John MS. Please drop off your child by 8:50 am.
LAST CALL FOR BMES DIRECTORY INFO VERIFICATION (THURSDAY!)
The printed version of the Bells Mill PTA Directory will be sent to the printer this week. Please make sure you have logged in and verified your information at www.schooldirectoryupdate.com before Thursday, October 9th.
Once you verify your data, make sure to check out the brand new School Directory App.
The App will have the most up to date directory information and will be accessible via iPhone or Android, and even from your desktop computer!
