This school year, the Bells Mill PTA was on fire—with fun, flair, and fierce support for our community! We kicked things off by welcoming 145 new families and growing to a proud membership of 221 families, 40 amazing staff, and 9 dedicated board members. From hosting crowd-pleasers like Trunk-or-Treat and the Talent Show to rallying school spirit with assemblies and spirit wear, we brought the energy all year long. Last week, we wrapped up our final PTA event of the year with a bang—GeoBowl style! This year’s revamped format had even more 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders showing off their geography smarts, thanks to the awesome efforts of Mr. Fenton and Shara Reiter—you rock! Thanks to our Bells Mill community for helping make the Bells Mill Blue Ribbon Bash a resounding success! From bounce houses to a DJ dance party, cotton candy to hot dogs, catching up with old friends to meeting new families, there was something for everyone. We couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers—so a big thank you to you all!

Earlier this week, MCPS presented the initial boundary study options for the new Crown High School. Winston Churchill High School is included in the boundary‐study scope, along with Cabin John Middle School and Herbert Hoover Middle School. Although the Bells Mill articulation pattern will not change in any of these four options, the outcome may still affect articulation patterns in middle school for other elementary schools in the Churchill Cluster.

We’re looking for a volunteer this summer to serve as the liaison to after-school program providers for the 2025–26 school year. This role includes researching companies that offer after-school enrichment, coordinating with vendors, and communicating offerings within the school community.
