Volunteers needed for the PTA Board Nominating Committee

It’s hard to believe but we need to think about next year already! While we have several current board members who will be running for re-election, there will be a few open positions to fill.  To support this process, our bylaws require we form a nominating committee. We need to identify at least two volunteers who are current PTA members by April 14, which is our next PTA meeting.
The nominating committee will be responsible for nominating eligible persons for open PTA board positions and reporting their nominees to the general membership prior to the PTA election at a general membership meeting in May.

Ways We Can Support Our Community

In times of uncertainty there are lots of ways – big and small – that we can help each other! Check on your neighbors, call a friend, and be kind to each other. Here are some ideas:

  • Support local businesses! Over the years so many of the local restaurants have helped us through donations and restaurant nights. Now, they need our support as they face very tough times! Consider placing carry-out, delivery, or curbside delivery from our local restaurants, including Potomac Pizza, California Tortilla, Tally Ho, Baskin Robbins, Gregario’s, Lahinch, Moby Dick, Shake Shack, Carmen’s, and others.
