Odyssey of the Mind is an international program aimed at developing creative problem solving skills in children of all ages. The program encourages teamwork, critical analysis of ideas, learning how to listen to one another, effective conflict resolution, flexible creative thinking, and on-stage performance skills. Students are placed in teams of 5-7 students based on grade level, interests, child preferences, and balance. Model UN (or MUN) is an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly in which students act as country delegates and engage in acts of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. The program is offered through Global Minds, LLC and founded by former Bells Mill parents, Audré Park and Shreelata Durbhakula. The BMES Model UN Club is open to 5th graders only.

Bar-T Kids Club provides before and after school care at Bells Mill ES from 7:00am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday. Each day is filled with fun clubs, outdoor play, group games, delicious snacks, socialization, and safe fun! Bar-T’s trained and energetic staff provide a variety of options each day so that the children in their care are able to choose the clubs that most intrigue them. We’re excited to welcome everyone back to school at the Popsicle Social after the Open Houses. Students, reconnect with classmates! Parents, look for information on joining PTA, volunteer opportunities and spirit wear sales!

We continue to be extremely grateful for all of our teachers/staff and their commitment to our students and community! The PTA is kicking off the welcome events with a special breakfast for our teachers/staff on Monday, August 22, 2022. We would appreciate your support.

As we end the school year the PTA would like to thank its members, volunteers, and board for supporting us this year.
