Our virtual Scholastic Book Fair is underway! 25% of sales go to Bells Mill to buy books for classrooms and students in need. Last year’s fair allowed the school to purchase classroom sets of novels for the reading curriculum and social-emotional learning lessons. Churchill Cluster Elementary School Parent Coffee: Race & Equity – June 4

Please join the Churchill Cluster Elementary School Principals, School Staff, and Central Office Staff to engage in conversations about race and equity on Friday, June 4th, 9:30am. Zoom link to be provided by the school.

We will discuss:

  • the importance of talking about race and racism and how it exists in our community
  • the importance of collaborating together as a cluster
  • how to talk to our children about racism and how to be an anti-racist

Volunteers for Financial Review

At the end of each Fiscal Year we are required to have the books of the Bells Mill Elementary PTA undergo a financial review. This is not an audit, you do not need to be a CPA or financial professional to volunteer, and the entire commitment shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours. Under Maryland PTA rules, a committee of three people need to perform the review by reviewing the bank statements, check register and other documents from the 2020-2021 year and confirm them to be correct.… Read Full Post

Weekend Food Trucks @ Bells Mill

New PTA Board and Budget Approved for Next Year

On May 18, 2021 we approved the of PTA board members for the next school year. We would like to thank the outgoing board members for their support of Bells Mill and look forward to continuing the PTA’s great work next year. We are so grateful for our volunteers! The board members are:

Coming Soon! BMES Scholastic Book Fair

The annual Bells Mill Scholastic Book Fair is right around the corner and this year it will be entirely virtual! Scholastic has developed an interactive virtual fair for families to visit and purchase books for some great summer reading. The Book Fair is not a PTA fundraiser. Profits from sales go directly toward purchasing new materials, such as media center books and curriculum tool kits for the classroom, so students and staff benefit directly from our Fair!… Read Full Post
