This Friday, feb 3 from  4-7 the Scotland Community Center and the Bells Mill PTA will sponsor FRIDAY FUN DAY at the Scotland community center. This is a drop off event for all bmes students. It is a FREE event. Please have people rsvp to [email protected] so we have an accurate head count. You must RSVP to attend!
There will be the following:
DJ
Moon bounce
Ice cream sundae bar
Arts and crafts
Pizza
Games
Basketball

Call for Volunteers

The PTA is in need of some immediate volunteer help as well as some long-term planning needs.

Immediate:

  • BINGO Night coordinator. The permits have been pulled and most of the night has been planned, but we need someone to help execute this annual community night.

Long-Term:

  • Seeking a PTA president for the 2017-2018 school year. NOW is the time to jump in so that you can shadow the current president during the busy spring event season.

February 7 PTA Meeting Speakers Announced!

The next PTA meeting is Tuesday, February 7 at 7 p.m. in the Media Center.

We are excited to announce that Lisa Miller, Math Support, and Lindsay Wilkes, Reading Specialist, will be presenting on how to help your child at home in math and in reading.  Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Wilkes will share ideas and resources to assist parents in working with their children and supporting the reading and math programs at Bells Mill.

Churchill Cluster BOE Mtg.

This email is to remind all of the schools to please HOLD THE DATE  for our next big meeting which is actually the Board of Education Meeting for our cluster.
At the last meeting we all decided that the host location for this Churchill Cluster / BOE meeting on March 16, 2017 (TH night) would be Potomac Elementary School.  Thank you to the other schools that also offered their locations.

Sign up to assist staff with recess/lunch duty. If you are able to volunteer during recess, please consider getting involved by utilizing the equipment and instructions provided by our “Dr. Recess” program. By taking the time to teach and implement various games and activities, we can provide the children with effective strategies to help make recess a fun learning experience for all.
