Dear BMES Families,
Our volunteer network at BMES plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s and the students’ success. We deeply appreciate all the effort and resources contributed by our volunteers, and we want to make sure that we recognize the same.
Many of you use the volunteer sign-in sheet in the BMES office to sign in and out; however, there are many of us who put in a number of hours outside of school premises as well. In an effort to track all of these hours, we are making slight changes to the volunteer hours reporting process as follows:
- When volunteering within the school, you will continue to use the volunteer sign-in sheets in the same manner. You will see a slight difference to the sign-in sheet – you no longer need to look for the sheet with your name on it, rather there will be a single sign-in sheet where you can put in your name, in and out times etc..
- When volunteering outside of school (e.g. writing newsletters, sending emails, activity planning etc.) or if you are unable to sign in in the volunteer sign-in book, please send a good faith estimate of the hours spent on the volunteering activity to [email protected].Please provide the following information when reporting your hours: Name, Volunteering activity, Date, Number of hours. Please report number of hours for each activity on a separate line.
