The Bells Mill PTA is allowed two delegates in the Montgomery County Council of PTAs. In this role you represent Bells Mill and advocate at the County Level. We are looking for a volunteer to be a second delegate for this year. There are monthly meetings on zoom, which can be alternated with the other delegate if you would like. To learn more about the role, please contact [email protected].
We are excited to welcome back after school programs through FLEX academies starting later this month. Programs are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Enrollment is now open until September 14, 2022 and spots are limited. See this flyer for more information on the class offerings.
While the PTA helps coordinate this program, FLEX academies administers the programs and coordinates with the individual providers. For more information about a program, please email [email protected].
The PTA looking for volunteers to help organize and support our more than 50 activities and events! Your involvement is critical so we can continue to provide enrichment activities and support Bells Mill. This is also a great way to get to know parents, teachers, and administrators.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international program aimed at developing creative problem solving skills in children of all ages. The program encourages teamwork, critical analysis of ideas, learning how to listen to one another, effective conflict resolution, flexible creative thinking, and on-stage performance skills. Students are placed in teams of 5-7 students based on grade level, interests, child preferences, and balance. Grades 1-2 participate in Primary Division and Grades 3-5 in Division 1. Model UN (or MUN) is an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly in which students act as country delegates and engage in acts of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. The program is offered through Global Minds, LLC and founded by former Bells Mill parents, Audré Park and Shreelata Durbhakula. The BMES Model UN Club is open to 5th graders only.

Bar-T Kids Club provides before and after school care at Bells Mill ES from 7:00am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday. Each day is filled with fun clubs, outdoor play, group games, delicious snacks, socialization, and safe fun! Bar-T’s trained and energetic staff provide a variety of options each day so that the children in their care are able to choose the clubs that most intrigue them.
