It’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week!

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week kicked off today and runs all week. Bells Mill PTA is excited to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff who make our school such a special place for our children. Throughout the week, the PTA will be celebrating all teachers and staff with a plethora of sweets, treats, gifts and other fun surprises (cupcakes and a barista bar to name a few) to show our gratitude for all they do!

NAACP Parents Council Representative – Volunteer Opportunity

The Bells Mill Elementary School PTA is seeking a parent volunteer to serve as our representative to the NAACP Parents’ Council. The NAACP Parents’ Council works to support equity, access, and excellence for all students across Montgomery County Public Schools. The representative attends monthly evening meetings (typically virtual), shares relevant updates with our community, and brings questions or concerns from Bells Mill families to the broader council. From the PTA: Book Fair Success and Thank You for the Cookies!


Last week’s Literati Book Fair was a wonderful success, and we are thrilled to share that our school community raised nearly $17,000! Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve already been able to put close to $4,000 right back into our school by purchasing new books for the media center and classroom teachers—getting great reads into students’ hands as quickly as possible. Volunteer Chair Needed—PTA Reflections Art Program

What is the PTA Reflections program? PTA’s Reflections is a nationwide art program which provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme.
