Weekly Message from the PTA

This week, we are excited to shine a spotlight on a big part of the school day: lunch and recess! The PTA plays a vital role in making recess a time of joy and enrichment for our students, and we want to share what we do.

What We Support at Recess: The PTA helps fund the fun activities during recess, from soccer and basketballs to chalk, beads for bracelets, bubbles, jump ropes, and more. Even on days when the weather keeps our students indoors due to snow, rain, cold, or fog, we provide engaging games, coloring books, and activities to keep the fun going inside.

Volunteer Opportunities: We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join us during both outdoor and indoor recess, as well as lunch time! Recess volunteers have the chance to support and play with students, fostering connections and helping them problem-solve. Lunch volunteers assist with opening lunch items, getting utensils and condiments, and aiding in the cleanup process.

Ready to be a part of the fun? Sign up for volunteer slots here.

Volunteer Training: For the safety of our students, all volunteers are required to complete the online volunteer training before participating in school activities. Access the training document here.

A Special Thank You: We extend our gratitude to Youngshin Kim and Dorina Kroll for their outstanding efforts in ordering and maintaining our recess supplies. They have been instrumental in keeping the fun stocked and answering all our recess-related questions.

For any inquiries or if you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Let’s make recess a highlight for our students together!
