The event will offer displays, performances and food from around the world that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of our school community! Don’t forget that the PTA offers a $60 reimbursement per country table to help cover food, crafts, decorations, and other materials.

Final Read-A-Thon Update

We are incredibly proud of our readers and deeply grateful for the support that made this year’s Read-A-Thon such a tremendous success.

Bells Mill Science Fair & STEM Night – March 22

The Bells Mill Science Fair & STEM Night is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 from 4:30-6 pm. We encourage any interested student to participate in the Science Fair by completing a project and showcasing it that night. Register your science fair project today!

Action Alert! MCPS Calendar Changes (Deadline 3/22)

Testify on HB1084 on March 22 re: MCPS Calendar Changes

MCPS is seeking a legislative solution to its school calendar challenges, House Bill 1084, and this bill has passed the House of Delegates and will be heard by the Senate EEE Committee on March 24. Anyone can sign up to provide written testimony, oral testimony (in-person or virtual), or both. We urge you to share your thoughts as this affects every student in MCPS.

Assembly Recap: Story Tapestries Performance

On March 9, Bells Mill students enjoyed a special assembly presented by Story Tapestries in recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Through engaging storytelling, movement, and performance, presenters Arianna Ross and Jessica Wallach invited students to explore themes of disability, difference, and belonging.

Using folktales such as Thumbelina, the performers encouraged students to imagine the world from different perspectives and connect with the experiences of others in a creative and meaningful way. NAACP Parents Council Representative — Volunteer Opportunity

The Bells Mill Elementary School PTA is seeking a parent volunteer to serve as our representative to the NAACP Parents’ Council. The NAACP Parents’ Council works to support equity, access, and excellence for all students across Montgomery County Public Schools.
