Registration is Now Open for Model UN Fall Session

Model United Nations (or Model UN) is an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly in which students act as country delegates and engage in acts of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. The program is offered through Global Minds, LLC, founded in 2021 by former Bells Mill/Cabin John parents, Audré Park and Shreelata Durbhakula.

It’s time for another exciting school year to start, and an important part of Bells Mill Elementary is our PTA.

Why join the PTA? Through the PTA, families and teachers work together to enrich the school experience. This year we will invest more than $46,000 in Bells Mill and sponsor more than 50 programs, including the Teacher Classroom Fund, Academic Enrichment, Assemblies, Staff Appreciation, International Festival, community events, and more. 3 Volunteers Needed for 1 hour of Financial Review

At the end of each Fiscal Year we are required to have the books of the Bells Mill Elementary PTA undergo a financial review. This is not an audit, you do not need to be a CPA or financial professional to volunteer, and the entire commitment shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours. Under Free State PTA rules, a committee of three people need to perform the review by reviewing the bank statements, check register, and other documents and confirm them to be correct.… Read Full Post
