Last Friday’s amazing STEM Night was a wonderful collaboration among parents, school staff and community. Thanks to the many volunteers from school staff, Bells Mill parents, Churchill Robotics Club, Richard Montgomery iGEMS club, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Churchill athletics invites Bells Mill students to join them for Community Night at a double header basketball game this Friday. Learn more here

February Discussion Topics:

• Three Bells Mill teachers will present a hands-on classroom example of the new reading curriculum. This is a great way to see what and how your students are learning across grade levels.
• Our winter will be full of fun and educational activities sponsored by the PTA(Parent Teacher Association).

We need your support for the Bells Mill STEM+families night on Friday, January 31st, 6:30-8:00pm. Please RSVP here to attend.  There is no cost, but we need to get a good sense of how many people will attend.

We are still looking for parent volunteers to support the hands on activities and experiments. All parents are encouraged to volunteer for supporting the STEM activities! Reporting an absence just got a lot easier! Go to the Bells Mill Elementary School home page and under quick links on the left hand side you will see Report a Student Absence. Fill this out and Mrs. Marcoux will receive an email with the information that you submit! There is no need to call the school if you fill this form out online.

Come join your classmates tonight for Restaurant Night!  Meet us at Potomac Pizza in Potomac Village between 4-9PM.  Just mention Bells Mill when you order and 20% of sales will be donated back to the school!  Hope to see you there!

MCPS and the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA) are hosting a Science Night from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Gaithersburg High School. (Snow date: January 28)

At the event, parents will hear from MCPS teachers about science standards and what they can expect their children to learn in class. Sessions are targeted to parents with students in elementary and middle school.

Gaithersburg High School is located at 101 Education Blvd. in Gaithersburg.
