Halloween Parade – FRIDAY NOV 1

Due to the inclement weather today, the Halloween parade will be TOMORROW morning.  Please send your child(ren) to school in their costumes with a change of clothes.  The children will go to class for attendance then will come back out for the parade promptly at 9:30am.

All families are invited to attend and line the parade route on Friday morning (the sidewalk by the kindergarten classes, the basketball court, and the sidewalk leading up to Georgetown Hill path, the path by Georgetown Hill to the stop sign, and the sidewalk coming down to the front entrance of the school.… Read Full Post

Principal’s Tea -Grade 2/3 TONIGHT. Grade 4/5 – TOMORROW

Please join Mrs. Jerri Oglesby, Bells Mill Principal and the parents of Second and Third grade students for the 2/3 Principal’s Tea on Tuesday, October 29th at 6:30 PM in the media center.

Principal’s teas are informal ways to discuss grade specific items with the principal and fellow parents of that grade level.   At the 2/3 Principal’s Tea, Mrs. Oglesby plans to discuss Second and Third grade specific topics. Magic & Muffins – K & 1st Graders

Parents sip on unlimited coffee and meet other families while your
children snack on muffins and enjoy an exciting magic show.
Make new friends! Reconnect with the old!

Although this is an event tailored to Kindergarten and 1st grade students, older and younger siblings are welcome.

Book Fair Success!

Thank you to the entire Bells Mill community for another fabulous Book Fair! Our “Books in Wonderland” was truly a wonderland–the kids had fun, the teachers and staff were amazing, and the volunteers and parents helped make it a true success! Through the generosity of the Bells Mill community, the Book Fair raised $19,069 — even more than last year–resulting in $10,488 in Scholastic dollars (which means books!) for the Media Center and the school.

A special thanks to the more than 40 volunteers who helped set up and break down the Fair, decorated, re-shelved books, ran the registers, and assisted students and shoppers.… Read Full Post

October 2 PTA General Meeting Recap

We had a great first general meeting of the 2019-2020 Bells Mill PTA last night! Thanks to all who attended. We had a fantastic, enthusiastic showing from our Bells Mill community. Let’s keep it up!

Parent Meeting – Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:30PM

Volunteers Needed to Attend Cultural Arts Showcase for Assemblies Committee

The Cultural Arts Assemblies Committee is reviewing and selecting cultural events for 2019-2020! The committee needs volunteers to attend the Cultural Arts Showcases offered by MCPS on October 2nd, 3th, and 7th. During these showcases various performing companies approved by the County make 15-minute presentations.
