Each week, the PTA will share information from other schools in the cluster or community programs that provide opportunities to connect and help each other. Panda Programmer
Panda Programmer is an after-school program that teaches coding to students. Our students have a blast, as they learn about graphics, control structures, and more all within a solid event-based model of computer programming.
Our next 6-class session will be from 12/19-2/6.
When: Fridays from 4:15-6:15PM (Note: We supervise students immediately after school dismissal.) Students get a short break, during which time—weather permitting—we take them to the school playground or allow them to eat a snack. Every class has at least 2 teachers, and we aim for a low 6:1 ratio of students to teachers or less.
We supply the computers (though kids are always welcome to use their own laptops) and use open-source software so the kids can show off their work, or practice their coding, at home!
