Each year, MCCPTA recognizes an outstanding Montgomery County support staff member for their dedication and impact on our children and youth. This year, the PTA proudly nominated Mrs. Over—and we’re so excited to share that she was selected as this year’s award recipient!
Mrs. Over, Administrative Assistant to Dr. Smith, is truly the magic behind the scenes at Bells Mill Elementary—the person who somehow keeps a thousand moving pieces perfectly in sync while making it all look effortless. As the PTA’s go-to for just about everything, she manages room reservations, event logistics, after-school programs, and countless day-to-day school and student details with incredible precision. Her deep knowledge of the school and her proactive, solutions-first mindset mean she’s often solving problems before anyone else even realizes they exist. If something runs smoothly at Bells Mill, chances are Mrs. Over had a hand in making it happen!
But what really makes her shine is how she does it all—with warmth, humor, and a genuine love for the school community. Whether she’s juggling enrichment programs, supporting PTA events, or helping staff and families navigate the day, she brings patience, kindness, and a collaborative spirit to everything she touches.
On behalf of the PTA, we are so grateful for everything she does—often behind the scenes—to support our school and enrich the student experience. Mrs. Over doesn’t just keep things running—she makes Bells Mill a better, happier place to be. The MCCPTA Shining Star Award couldn’t have found a more deserving (or more quietly heroic!) recipient.
