The Bells Mill Parent Teacher Association (PTA)  invites families with students new to Bells Mill to join a virtual meet and greet. Registration for the Model UN Club is now open to students grades 5 – 8! This exciting program teaches students how to improve research, writing, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Students will build cultural awareness, cultivate their global citizenship through learning about international issues and the work of the United Nations. Sponsored by the CJMS and BMES PTAs, the parent-organized program will offer weekly meetings online via Zoom on Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:10pm beginning on September 17.… Read Full Post

After school enrichment provider Flex Academies is offering online virtual classes and virtual tutoring. Since these programs are virtual and not just for Bells Mill students, the PTA is not sponsoring the program as we have done previously. We are sharing this information for families who are interested in enrichment options.

On September 1, we held a socially distanced PTA meeting in the BMES parking lot to vote on the PTA board and budget. An in-person vote was required by the county PTA bylaws. Thanks to the 15 members who came out to make sure this happened!

The Bells Mill PTA is a partnership between parents and the school to enhance educational excellence and strengthen the community. Traditionally, we sponsor more than 50 events and activities in the school each year. Each year the PTA supports more than 50 activities to enrich the academic experiences of our students and build a sense of community. Dr. Smith and Mrs. Boyd have distributed information on materials distribution for Friday, as well as a link to the virtual open house. If you haven’t already, you will receive information from your teacher with zoom links, supply lists, and other information to kick off the new year. Please contact the school or your child’s teacher if you need additional information.
