Yearbook Photos Needed

Only a few months to go before the school year comes to a close, and we’d love to showcase memorable moments in the school yearbook.

Yearbook photo ideas include:

  • Sledding at the Bells Mill Hill
  • PTA events – Bingo, Breakfast with Bears, Trunk or Treat, and more
  • Fall Festival – parade and classroom parties
  • Restaurant Nights
  • Field Trips
  • Chorus and Instrumental Music concerts
  • Sports teams or clubs connected to Bells Mill
  • Class projects and other special classroom moments

PTA Meeting on Tuesday, March 3

Join us for the upcoming PTA meeting on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Smith and Mrs. Tilkens will review proposed allocations for the 2026–27 school year, and we’ll share an update on the ongoing boundary study.

Get Ready for the Bells Mill PTA Read-A-Thon!

The Bells Mill PTA’s largest fundraiser of the year, Read-A-Thon, begins Monday, March 2, and we are looking forward to a fun and engaging event for our students. Read-A-Thon inspires a love of reading while giving friends and family the opportunity to support and encourage your child’s reading efforts.

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 and read a total of 525,000 minutes. With your support, we can make it happen!

Boundary Study Update

At the Board of Education meeting on Thursday, February 5, 2026, MCPS Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor presented his recommendation regarding the Boundary Study options to the Board of Education. He recommended modified Option H, and shared a non-recommended alternative (Option D) if the Board did not accept his first recommendation.

Ledo’s Night to Support 5th Grade – February 23

Dine in, order online, or carryout at Ledo’s Westlake on Monday, February 23rd from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Twenty percent of the proceeds will be donated to Bells Mill to support end of year activities for 5th graders, including a field trip, promotion, and more. Bring in the flyer, show it on your phone, enter “Fundraiser” for the online code, or just mention Bells Mill. Thank you for supporting our 5th Graders!
