As we begin to look to the next school year, we are recruiting new board members and committee chairs. We are grateful for those who have already expressed interest! We will be holding elections for the PTA board positions at our next meeting (May 1, 2021).
Board Positions
We will be electing all members of our PTA board for next school year. With the upcoming revision to the bylaws we are adding a fourth vice president to focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The board positions are:
- President
- Vice President – Fundraising
- Vice President – Committees
- Vice President – Communications
- Vice President – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Delegates to MCCPTA
We invite anyone interested in any board position to reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss opportunities. In particular, we are looking for two individuals interested in serving as delegates to the Montgomery County Council of PTAs.
By serving on the PTA board, you have opportunities for direct contact with the school, get to know the teachers and school programs, and support your child’s educational experience. The time commitment varies by position and time of the year. The schedule is flexible to meet the needs of our working parents. Importantly, we work collaboratively to get things done. Committee Chairs
The PTA includes more than 35 committees to support ongoing initiatives, specific events, and administration. If you are looking to become more involved, please reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss opportunities. We’ll also be circulating a sign up sheet later in the school year to fill gaps.
