Bells Mill Model UN – 2025 Winter Registration Session is Open

Model United Nations (or Model UN) is an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly in which students act as country delegates and engage in acts of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. The program is offered through Global Minds, LLC, founded in 2021 by former Bells Mill/Cabin John parents, Audré Park and Shreelata Durbhakula.

Spirit Fridays at Bells Mill is Back!

Did you know about Spirit Fridays? At Bells Mill, it’s a beloved tradition! Every Friday, students show their school pride by wearing blue and white or their favorite BMES Spirit Wear.

MCPS Boundary Study Update

MCPS will release new boundary options on December 1, which include the recommendation to utilize Crown High School as a temporary holding school for upcoming projects and the potential use of a hybrid option for local students. These new options will not replace the current options A-D, but will be added as additional options for consideration.

Reflections Art Program – Now Accepting Submissions

Supporting Bells Mill and Cabin John Families After House Fire

Last week, two local families with children attending Cabin John Middle School and Bells Mill Elementary School were severely impacted by a devastating fire. As a result, Amanda and her son Michael, as well as Danielle, Kendall, and their four children—including Brycin, a 3rd grader at Bells Mill–have been displaced from their homes.

Feedback Requested: 2026-2027 School Calendar

MCPS is conducting a second survey to help guide decisions for the 2026-27 school calendar. Survey responses are due by November 30.

The survey asks about three different options, all of which have the same spring break (March 26 to April 2).
Draft A would start school Aug. 31 and end on June 23.
Draft B would start school Aug. 24 and end on June 15.
